DIFFERENT dimension "Warm Fuzzies" swatches and review!

Before I get to the beautifulness that is "Warm Fuzzies" I want to first apologize for being MIA over the holiday hecticness. It was just way too crazy for me and I could barely keep my head on straight, let alone sit down to blog. I wanted to but time was not on my side. lol I procrastinated on giftage, the kids had too much going on, work didn't help and wrapping and traveling were the death of me! :-/ I am making one of my resolutions to spend more time blogging though! I love it so much and just want to do it more and more! :) I hope you all had amazing holidays with your families and friends and hopefully the new year will bring wonderful things as well!

On to the superb "Warm Fuzzies" from Different Dimension!  Missi's polishes have quickly become one of my favorites, and when this mini bottle appeared with my last order I instantly knew I must show everyone how beautiful it is!  I passed it by in the shop purely because I don't normally buy brown polish... but I have already worn this twice because it is gorgeous! Nobody should pass it by! lol
Look at the AMAZING brown-holo-sparkle-goodness that is warm fuzzies! It totes gives me the warm fuzzies to wear it and show it to you! It is gorgeous! I had a hard time taking pictures of it because it is so holo-ey/sparkly! This is two coats and it went on perfectly smooth like butta!
Here are some more pics, I am sorry there are so many, but I couldn't get that "perfect shot" so I just took a lot! haha

Seriously.. it is so beautimous! I give it a 10 fo sho! Great formula, great application with 2 coats to full opacity, no streaks or brush marks, dried quickly and I top coated with seche vite and this is STILL how much bling I got! ;)

You can find Warm Fuzzies HERE at Missi's Etsy Shop called Different Dimension.  I have never been disappointed with a purchase from her and highly recommend this shop because I don't believe you would be disappointed either!

I hope you enjoyed my pics and review!

*HUGS* to you all!

Nails for Newtown

I wanted to get this up on here yesterday, but it was a day I spent with my daughter just having mommy and daughter time.  We went to ice skate with Santa, then watched a movie and had crackers, cheese, cookies and cocoa! After that we watched TV and just goofed around until the boys got home. I enjoyed every second with my little girl and cherished it even more in light of the events in Newtown. My heart is crying for each and every one of those children, family members, staff, and all involved.  The nail community was doing white nails for Newtown, so here is my mani.  I used Sinful Colors "Snow Me White" and Maya Cosmetics "Gathering" as a topcoat for the angelic sparkle.

Featured Artist Friday!!

Oh my goodness this month is way too busy for me! lol Sorry I missed last week's Featured Artist, but as I said in my Mombo Monday post, I was down with a migraine last weekend. Totes lame.  I am doing good so far this Friday though! lol No migraine, just tired because apparently kids have a lot of things to do in December and so do parents! Anyone have a stop watch? I need more time! lol  Right now it is time for this weeks featured artist though! Yay!

This week our Featured Artist is one who has gotten a lot of attention lately...

CARA CHANDLER

Cara was nominated by Kathy Blixt and I was so excited! You see, Cara and I live a short distance from each other so we got to chatting and started a nice friendship online. I can't wait to meet her in person someday and try out all her fun indie polishes while I'm at it! Haha!  Cara has some amazing polish skills, a great Blog and even has her own Etsy shop selling some sweet Nail Polish Shelves!  See how rockin she is? :)  (For real, check those links out, I promise you'll be happy you did!)  Here's the mani that Kathy nominated, and the Christmasy mani I picked to show you! I opted not to go with her now famous snowflake mani only because I think everyone and their brother has seen it already! lol!! It is truly amaze-balls to the max!

Here's the first mani that Kathy nominated:  (cara, if you want to send me an updated one with your watermark on it that would be superb!)
Not sure on the polishes used but I know that the glitter is an unreleased Too-Cuticle glitter!?  Awesomeness!!!

Here's my choice:
Jindie Nails - Grinch. Love it! Cara has such pretty nails, and this polish is gorgeous also! Just love it all! :)

Is it your turn next??  It could be YOU! Get your submissions in for Featured Artist Friday and then get your buns over here every Friday to see who the next artist is!

It could totes be you... Go do it HERE, pretty please? (with sugar on top?)

Happy weekend everyone!

A Snowy Mombo Monday!

Woke up to lots of snow this morning but not enough to put any delays on the morning! Nothing like the delays my head put on the weekend. :( Migraine city. In fact, the bathroom is without a faucet still because I couldn't get out of bed to go pick one out since the one we had already chosen wasn't going to work. I still have a slight migraine, but it is livable now at least. The computer monitor light is a killer though and my head does not like it at ALL so work is difficult and so is this! So I am going to quickly post my Mombo's manis and shut this thing down! I apologize SO much for not getting Featured Artist Friday up and for being absent so much lately. I am sure after the holidays it will be a little easier!

Here's Mombo's awesome mani's!
Supa cute, Mombo!! She used Pure Ice Taupe Drawer stamped with China Glaze Admire

Love this color!  Mombo used OPI Warm and Fozzie for this mani!

This is my fave for the week!
A England St. George dabbed with L'Oreal The Queen's Ambition

That's all for now folks, I need this light away from my eyes to save my noggin! :(

Have a great week everyone!

Mombo Monday!

Monday again, already? I wish weekends didn't go by so quickly. We got a lot done this weekend though! Christmas tree is up, decorations are up, tile is ready to be laid in the bathroom tomorrow and the house is as clean as it's going to get for now! No sense in cleaning the den with everything from the bathroom in it right now, lol!  Besides getting all that done, I am still battling whatever this nasty virus is and I am feeling like crud. I can only hope it is going away soon. The only thing keeping me going is knowing that I have it NOW rather than at Christmas. So let's cross our fingers it is gone soon! :(
As I write this, Mombo is in Vegas... Hmfph.... :P lol  Want to see what she's sporting on her nails while she's there??  Here you go:
Of course it's a "Mombo Marble"! haha  OPI I Break for Manicures, Zoya Caitlin and Megan, topcoated with Spectraflair
Perfect, as usual... Love all the pretty shades of purple!!  Also, she got another new set of custom nails from Custom Nail Solutions, this set is glamour length.  Pretty nice, right??

Here's another fun one! She must be on a purple kick this week! hehe
Sinful Colors Amethyst stamped with Color Club Fashion Addict
I always love this stamp when I see it on a mani, but I have never used it!

Last but not least, using a color I am totes in love with (I am the Walrus by Enchanted Polish)...
Not sure what color she used to stamp with, and I am not going to bother her while she's in Vegas, but I love this mani! I neeeeeeed the whole Enchanted Polish Beatles collection.  For those of you that don't know me well enough, I have a slight obsession with The Beatles. ;) I love them, and I love this polish and all the rest in the collection... but they are totes not in my budget now or probs not in the near future unfortunately. :(

That's all for this Mombo Monday!  Back to work for the week and hopefully back to healthy super soon!

I hope you all have an amazing week!!!!!!
*HUGS*

Featured Artist Friday! :)

Yay for having Friday off this week! I love me a 3-day weekend... I would love it more if I wasn't still nursing a nasty virus! :P Yuck!  There is lots on the to-do list today, including a dr appointment, tiling the bathroom (finally), getting the Christmas tree, putting out the Christmas decorations, rearranging the furniture in my daughters room so that her guinea pig isn't by the window because it's too cold there and then hopefully relaxing a bit!  I *do* love that I get to put the featured artist up early today though! Woohoo!

Again, I have been picking randomly from the list of people nominated.  This week's featured artist is someone who has nominated others for Featured Artist Friday, and now it is her turn in the spotlight!

NORMA JANEWAY!!!
\
Norma is just an amazing woman! She always has something nice to say and her nails are always beautiful.  Though, I have noticed in reading she is often critical of her mani's when she definitely should not be! ;) She totally has my style when she does her nails so when I looked through all of her mani's to find one to post I was loving them all! haha  Norma was nominated by Kathy Blixt and the first mani I will show you is the one Kathy nominated, and I chose the second one to show you! :)

Norma used Color Club Berry Red for this and some sort of snowflake on the accent nail. I love this red on Norma!  The accent nail looks great also! So pretty and perfect for this time of year!

The mani I picked is totes my kind of mani for sho!
Norma used Sinful Colors Moss Have and stamped with WnW Black. I still really need to get this green! Love it!!!

Norma's Friday in the spotlight is today, is it your turn next??  It could be YOU! Get your submissions in for Featured Artist Friday and then get your buns over here every Friday to see who the next artist is!

It could totes be you... Go do it HERE, pretty please? (with sugar on top?)

Hope you all have an amazing weekend and a superb December (can you believe tomorrow is December 1st?)!

Mombo Monday!!

Boo Monday, but YAY for Mombo Monday! haha I truly hate Mondays, but at least Mombo Monday makes it a little happier. ;)  I miss my Mombo a lot right now since I didn't see her (or any of my family) on Thanksgiving this year. This was the first time in my entire life I haven't been with my family for Thanksgiving, but I thought it would be nice to spend it with my husband's family this year. It was very nice, but it didn't change the fact that I missed my family terribly! So yeah, anyway, Mombo is missed! hahaha  I have some super pretty Mombo-manis to show you today!

Here's the first one:
This is Layla Coffee Love (which was also used by Barb in my Featured Artist Friday post HERE) and I really want/need this polish, and stamped with black from an image on the DRK-A plate.  I LOVE this mani, it's immaculate! Love, love, love!

Next up, more stamping perfection:
Thanksgiving mani!  Mombo used OPI Suzi Takes the Wheel and Zoya Toni for this one! I just love when she uses me! Hahaha Yeah, you should all know by now that I am such a big dork! ;)  I do love when she uses that polish though because I gave it to her. :)  I have tried to frame my nails like this like 20 times and I can not seem to do it... ugh!

It probs wouldn't be Mombo Monday without a Mombo Marble, right? LOL!
For this one, Mombo used: *10* Professional black base, Sally Hansen Lustres: Scarab, Plume, Lava, Copperhead and Firefly

She's such a bitchface, right? I mean, why does she get to have perfect water marbles like this all the time while the rest of us struggle? :P *Just kidding, Mombo. You know I love you and you are not really a bitchface (no really, you are, but you aren't... just kidding, just kidding...) but you suck! Your water marbles rock so hard you are causing avalanches in the desert! Jeeeez! I'm just totes jelly, that's all!  haha Love you!*

Anywho... that's all for Mombo Monday this week!! I can't believe there is now less than one month until Christmas!  Yikes! Hope you all are further ahead than I am! haha
Have a great week! :)

Featured Artist Friday!

This is totes late, and I am SO sorry!  I got home from work and made the mistake of laying in bed for a minute and fell asleep until just now! Eek! I have a nasty cold and feel horrible, I could have slept the rest of the night... but I needed potty break and remembered it was Friday and had to do FAF! lol  I could not skip one of my favorite blog days of the week!

Since I actually have a few people in the mix for Featured Artist Friday, I have been picking names from a pile at random to be fair and this week the name I drew from the mix is...

BARB STENDEL!!!

Oh Barb!  The hilarious, make me want to pee my pants with laughter, cheer me up, always ripping on Mombo, never a "real" mean thing to say Barb... Just an all around great woman I tell you!  The kind of person that once you meet her online you wish you could hang out with her in real life, like now! hehe  She is in my nail group and I just love everything about her! :)

Barb was nominated by Donna F. and this first mani is the one Donna nominated her for:
Barb used Layla Coffee Love stamped with OPI Midnight In Moscow.
I love the gorgeous holo with the stamping over it! I think I might want that coffee love! lol

I also have a mani of Barb's that I adore!
This was Barb's mani for a challenge "Inspired by a movie" and the movie was "Under the Tuscan Sun" and I just love the look of this!  Looks like a sunset! I can't do gradients for crap, so I am always looking and admiring them! hehe  (Not sure on her colors here, she didn't say either)

Barb's Friday in the spotlight is today, is it your turn next??  It could be YOU! Get your submissions in for Featured Artist Friday and then get your buns over here every Friday to see who the next artist is!

It could totes be you... Go do it HERE, pretty please? (with sugar on top?)

Hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving and if you are in another part of the world, a great week!  Cheers to the freakin' weekend, too! ;)

Mombo Monday! :)

Happy Monday! Well, as happy as it can be when my vacation is now officially over! lol Oh well... it couldn't last forever, right? I did get a new blog design accomplished, though! What do you think?

Mombo was a MANIac this past weekend! She was trying out all sorts of different combos for Custom Nail Solutions*. I guess they asked for photos for an online Bridal Guide Magazine. She has been featured in many of their ads so of course she wanted to be in more stuff! haha  Here's a few of the kick buttski mani's from her mani-marathon!

I LOVE this candy cane/snowflakey one!
Mombo used Sinful Colors White and Kleancolor Metallic Red for this one and then Stamped the stripes and snowflakes on!

Crackle-licious!
For this mani, Mombo used Fingerpaints Rise and Shine and Wet N Wild red crackle

I just love matte with a little gloss!
This beauty is done with Zoya Veruschka and tips are CG Sugar Plums!

There's your dose of Mombo for Monday this week. Hope you enjoyed her nails. :) Gosh I love that Mombo of mine!  It's so fun to be able to feature her up here on my little blog and give her some extra love!

Swatched! Maya Cosmetics: Nefarious Aquarius

Oh how I love nail mail! I also love Maya Cosmetics polish, and I ordered some of the new releases on Thursday, literally as soon as they were released and I could get to the site and get them I did!  I ordered all three of the "What Kind of Party?" Collection and also one of the holos "Nefarious Aquarius".

I want to swatch them all for you, but I am going to do them one at a time this time so I can give you the best shots and review!  *Remember to click the pictures to see them full sized!

Today I am going to show you

Nefarious Aquarius

This polish is a blue-green holo with an underlying blue/turquoise/purple glow.

Here's a close-up shot so you can see the amazing colors in this polish! Spectacular! (Click the pic to see it larger)

I had been waiting for this to be released along with the others, but especially this one because this color is totes up my alley! Green, blue and holo? Yes, please? I could barely wait to put it on my fingers! I knew there was a reason I didn't have polish on when I got the mail today. hehe  The polish was a little thicker than I thought it would be, but it was just the right consistency for this type of polish. Two coats for opacity and it dried very quickly as all the other Maya polishes I have used have. The holo was great but definitely diminished when I put a topcoat of seche vite on, though it's still there as you can see in the pictures (I hope!). Clean up around my cuticles was easy peasy because there was barely any to clean! The consistency of the polish made it very easy to apply exactly how I wanted it and I had  no running into spots I didn't want it. ;) Perfect polish!

Here's some pictures!

I tried to get some blur for the holo, but it was hard with my big clunky DSLR. Once I get it in place with one hand it's difficult to move and click! haha

I took this one with my phone while I was waiting for my camera battery to charge, thought I would throw it in for the heck of it. I think my phone take pretty good pics!

So there you have it, another amazing polish from Maya Cosmetics!  I have already had two "non-polish community" friends ask where they can get this polish after seeing my posts on facebook. Why? Because these, my friends, are gorgemous! ;) hehe

*HUGS*

Featured Artist Friday!

Thank goodness I had some to choose from this week!! :)  I had to pick from a hat, even! hehe That makes me very happy, ladies! What doesn't make me happy is that it is the last day of my vacation and it's just like a regular weekend after 5 today. Booooo! I'm pouting. :(  I just have to suck it up! LOL

I should stop pouting though because there is fun stuff happening, it's Featured Artist Friday! This weeks nominee is....

KATHY BLIXT!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright, this woman is hilarious I tell you! She is always making me smile or laugh that is for sure. :) Her nails are always great and she has been a friend of my moms for many years... which may or may not have something to do with why Mombo nominated her? Naw, really it was because she loved this mani she nominated!!! I also had a mani in mind when I saw that Kathy was nominated because I thought it kicked booTAY when I saw it! So here are two kick buttski mani's by Kathy! :D

First up is the mani that Mombo nominated! This was a dedication to one of her dog's, Daisy, that passed away.
I love how she did just yellow dots on some of the daisies! Just the perfect amount! Love it!

Here is the one I had loved since I saw it! hehe
The neon diagonal stripes and then the black stripes over this are killer! I just fricking *heart* this so much! Totes my style, don't know why I haven't done it yet... haha

Kathy's Friday in the spotlight is today, is it your turn next??  It could be YOU! Get your submissions in for Featured Artist Friday and then get your buns over here every Friday to see who the next artist is!

It could totes be you... Go do it HERE, pretty please? (with sugar on top?)

Happy weekend everyone!
